My goal for every single photo session is to create a set of images full of genuine love and connection. I want it all, the hugs, the kisses, the big squeezes, the moods, the empathy, the wild adventure, because the honesty in those in-between everyday moments ARE the moments.

My other big love is light. The atmosphere, drama, artistic beauty, is so much about the interaction of the moment with the perfect light and I seek this out in every session. I love messy lens flair and a soft image wrapped in warm light just makes my heart sing.

So lets talk about a family session with dinkyheart photography.

Firstly every session will begin with a discussion via email about who will be involved and what you hope to achieve. We will discuss locations, timings to suit that incredible light, and most importantly, that fit into the schedules of your children - a well fed, well rested child is a happy child after all :) We will discuss outfits that best suit you and the location you have chosen, and of course we will schedule in a date.

The location you choose is totally up to you.

Whether you choose your home or somewhere else that you spend a lot of time as a family, or you want me to recommend somewhere, we will discuss this in detail before you book.

I generally shoot just after sunrise or just before sunset, this is when that all important light is at its absolute best and most flattering. I schedule up to two hours for each shoot but usually an hour and a half is about perfect. This longer session time allows us to relax into the session, break for snacks, drinks and any changes of clothes and really enjoy spending time wherever we are, resulting in natural, genuine photos that you are sure to treasure.

The session doesn't have too much structure. I tend to start with a 'posed' family shot whilst everyone is clean and tidy, and then we'll just go with the flow. I'll give you some direction, or ideas of things for you to do with the children if you feel a bit stuck or uncomfortable, and before you know it you'll almost forget I'm there.

If you feel worried about how your child will behave or if your child is shy around strangers, I can assure you that it will be fine. I've had tonnes of experience with all types of children, the shyest to the most boisterous, and I'm yet to find a child who can't be won over.

Prices start from 1700 AED.

My basic digital packages include a USB of all of the best edited images from the session - I guarantee at least 30 but usually provide lots more. You then have the option of add ons such as beautiful photo books or canvas'.
