Do you offer maternity sessionsYes! I love maternity sessions, they are romantic, exciting, beautiful sessions that my clients absolutely treasure. Check out my maternity gallery here As I shoot on location, a maternity session is usually done at home, the beach or the desert, sunset sessions at the beach and desert are amazing for creating beautiful silhouettes. For more info on a maternity session or if you want to book a session get in touch here. I offer a discount if you book a maternity and newborn session at the same time.

Do you offer newborn sessions?I do indeed! There's a lot to consider when choosing a newborn photographer, read my blog post about how to choose your newborn photographer here, and then check out my newborn gallery here. If you decide that you like my style of photography and I am the one for you then get in touch here preferably before you little one has arrived so that we can discuss all of the details well in advance of the session.

What can I expect from a dinkyheart family session?I pride myself on creating a unique and enjoyable experience for all of my clients, resulting in images that you are absolutely thrilled with and that truely reflect your family. During your pre shoot consultation we will descide on a time and location that will best suit you and your family, be that the beach, desert, favourite park or your home. I will give you some tips on what to bring to the session, what to wear and things to think about to make the sessionmore enjoyable for everyone (such as games or songs the children might enjoy during the session, favourite toys and snacks to bring etc). I usually begin the session with a few 'family pictures' of everyone whilst you're all still clean and tidy, and after this point i shoot much more candidly, offering a little direction when needed. I aim to capture genuine interactions and emotions, and photograph the children exactly as they are at this stage in their lives! For more information check out my family gallery here and my little ones gallery here and for more information or to enquire about availability please get in touch here.

What do I need to prepare/ bring to my session? We will discuss exactly what you need and want to bring to the session in you consultaion about a week before you session. But to get an idea of what you might like to bring check out my blog post here.
-
What should I wear for my session?I will give you specific advice about what to wear to your session before the shoot but for now check out my pinterest board for some ideas of outfits and colours that work well - for a family session here and a maternity session here.
-
What if my children don't behave or aren't in the mood to have their photo taken?I have lots of experience working with and dealing with children and I have every confidence that I can win your little one round. I've not had a photo session yet where that hasn't been the case (touch wood). Check out what I have to say on the matter here.
-
How should I pose for my maternity session? As with all of my sessions I don't really encourage too much posing, I move around you and find the shot that I'm looking for. Having said that, I will give you some direction before the session begins, when it comes to standing in the most flattering way, and in such a way that emphasises your bump ;)
-
My husband isn't keen on posing for the pictures what would you advise?I'm not overly keen on posed pictures myself and so I certainly wouldnt expect your husband to pull out his modelling moves! As a general rule the sessions are much more about me capturing yo and your husband interacting with your children - throwing them in the air, playing chase, peek a boo, whispering funny secrets to them - rather than posing. I want to capture your relationships and your interactions, not a still life ;)
-
How long will the session last? Each session is scheduled for 2 hours, although an hour and a half is usually mre than enough time to get great shots. A newborn session however is scheduled for 3 hours and is usaly a minimum of an hour and a half. These times are just an approximate time frame I, of course spend as long as I feel necessary on your session, for me its all about getting the perfect pictures.
-
How long will it take you to deliver my images?Your pictures will be ready approximately 3 weeks after the session. I don't likt to rush editing you photos but instead focus on delivering a quality product. That being said, I know you will be eager to recieve them and so I will contact you as soon as they are ready.
-
How will I recieve my images?Your images will be delivered to you on USB by courier at a time that is convenient for you.
